A little history

Its façade is painted with figures and coats of arms; the clock of 1511 and the battlements with the coats of arms of the cantons crown the front, with a small golden turret from 1507.

The tower on the left was added around 1900, when the building was restored and enlarged. In the courtyard stands Lucius Munatius Plancus, the Roman general honoured as the city's founder.

The booklet opens with the full story: key dates, what to look for and where to find it.
