A little history

The church was rebuilt in Gothic style from the 13th century. Of its two towers only the northern one survives — raised in 1732 and crowned with the slender copper spire that now marks the west bank of the Limmat.

Inside, the five choir windows by Marc Chagall (1970) and Augusto Giacometti's north-transept window draw visitors from all over the world.

The booklet opens with the full story: key dates, what to look for and where to find it.
